Plans to widen the footpath and create parking spaces in parts of London Road, Teynham are going out to public consultation today (Tuesday).
The developer-funded scheme has been proposed after residents’ calls for measures to reduce speeds on London Road.
As well as the changes to the pavement, there are plans for an informal crossing facility between Station Road and Cellar Hill as part of the residential development north of London Road.
The scheme will include:
- New informal pedestrian crossing
- 11 new parking spaces eastbound and three spaces westbound between Station Road and Cellar Hill
- Widened and re-aligned footpaths
- Re-surfacing of the road
