Kings Hill Under 16s footballers can run onto the pitch in a smart new away kit thanks to a grant from Kent County Councillor Matthew Balfour.
The team was awarded £1,200 through Mr Balfour’s Combined Member Grant scheme to buy a more professional kit to wear when playing opponents at their home grounds.
Martin Watson, the team’s manager said, “Kings Hill under 16s team members have played together for many years and during this time have built up great friendships and an amazing team spirit.
“The new kit will make them feel really proud to represent their team when they run onto the pitch at away games.”
Two 18 years olds have now volunteered to assist the under 16s with football training and the club is supporting them to get their coaching badges.
