Second Anniversary Service of the Gurkha Memorial Statue

The second anniversary service of the Gurkha memorial statue took place in the Garden of Remembrance in Folkestone.

The Vice-Chairman of Kent County Council, Mike Angell, joined with His Excellency the Ambassador of Nepal, Dr Durga Bahadur Subedi, in laying a wreath of remembrance at the Memorial Statue.

During the service, tribute was paid to the Gurkha Memorial Fund which supports community development projects in UK and Nepal.

His Excellency gave thanks for the work and determination of all those involved with helping the various communities both locally and in Nepal.
