The children of year three and four at St Joseph’s School, Aylesham were so concerned about Road Safety that they took the matter into their own hands.

They contacted their local MP who suggested they approached KCC.

After speaking to KCC Member Steve Manion they submitted a Members Grant Application for funding.

Alongside the form itself, the children wrote letters of support, together with their own idea for designs.

The winning designs will be honoured by having their design made into permanent signage.
