In addition to producing top-of-the-range beers, Kent’s Old Dairy Brewery will be busy inspiring other businesses to grow through exporting after being named an Export Champion for the South East for 2021/2022.

The accolade, awarded by the Department for International Trade (DiT), means the Tenterden company will share its expertise, and raise awareness of the wide range of export help available, for free. The mentoring initiative is particularly aimed at small companies in the food and drink sector, to help them expand internationally.

Using Kentish hops sourced from within a three-mile radius of its site, the Old Dairy Brewery has blazed a trail in exports, successfully entering four new markets over the last four years.

Working closely with DiT, Kent County Council (KCC) and Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, the brand has taken part in various programmes organised via Kent International Business to help companies make contacts and do business in Europe.

This includes the KCC-led Innovative Sector Exchange Project – a scheme to help SMEs innovate and access new markets in the EU.
