KCC flies the flag for Commonwealth Day

Commonwealth Day was marked at County Hall with the raising of the Commonwealth Flag over Sessions House.

County Council chairman Peter Homewood oversaw the raising this morning alongside his vice-chairman Mike Harrison.

The theme for 2015 is ‘A Young Commonwealth ‘in order to recognise the contribution and potential of young people in playing a vital role at the heart of sustainable development and democracy.
