The Kathie Lamb Centre gets its new roof

'The new roof is marvellous and has made such a difference. Although it is summertime we are already noticing a difference with the insulation, we are so grateful to Eric for his continued support'.

Staplehurst District Guides are delighted with their new roof thanks to a £1,000 KCC members grant from Eric Hotson.

The Kathie Lamb centre is over 27 years old and the roof had started to leak due to damage caused by vandalism.

The centre is well used by a variety of local groups and by the Guide Association for meetings and camps.

The group raised over £12,000 themselves but they needed a little help to boost the funds and Eric Hotson was more than happy to oblige.
