Get on your bike, put your foot to the pedal, and get ready for a series of free autumnal bike rides around Kent.
Kent County Council has teamed up with British Cycling and Sky for a third year to bring the popular ‘Sky Rides’ to the county.
The Autumn Series of rides, guided by trained British Cycling ride leaders, begin this weekend with The Gunpowder Plot on Sunday, 2 November.
The 26 mile route takes in the Oare Gunpowder Works Country Park and Faversham, looping back through Painters Forstall and Teynham.
The rides continue throughout the month on the next three Sundays with Loop Around the Lanes in Maidstone – taking in Leeds Castle – on 9 November, Cycling Satisfaction in Sevenoaks on 16 November and The Gunpowder Plot on 23 November.
For more information and to book a place on the free rides, which all begin at 10am, visit www.goskyride.com/kent
The rides are part of a nationwide ‘Sky Ride local’ campaign to get thousands of people cycling.
