To help key workers get to and from Kent Hospitals, Kent County Council has arranged for some of its funded bus services to continue over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Services over the Bank Holiday period would usually operate to Sunday timetables but KCC realises that during the Covid-19 pandemic, this could leave some gaps in the bus network.
Services 36 (Herne Bay to QEQM Hospital), 58 (West Malling to Maidstone Hospital), 297 (Tenterden to Tunbridge Wells) and 666 (Faversham to Ashford) will all operate over the weekend to maintain links.
Passengers are encouraged to check with their operator for particular timetable details.
The KCC Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, Michael Payne, said: “We hope that any extra services will be of benefit over the Bank Holiday weekend and we are grateful for our bus operators in working with our Public Transport team to support Kent’s key workers.”
