Create a piece of artwork that captures your community and you could win a family of four ticket to Port Lympne Reserve.
NHS Ashford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Kent County Council (KCC) are running an art competition inviting local people to create a piece of artwork that represents local towns and communities.
Artwork should focus on one of three areas: North Ashford (including areas in the north of town and Wye, Sellindge and Charing), South Ashford (including areas in the south of town and Kingsnorth) and Rural Ashford (including Tenterden, Hamstreet and Woodchurch).
The competition is open to everyone from the CCG area. There are three age ranges for the competition: under 12s, 12 to 17 and 18+.
Winners of each age category will receive one family of four ticket to Port Lympne Reserve courtesy of Port Lympne. Port Lympne is one of Kent’s most popular visitor attractions (www.aspinallfoundation.org/port-lympne).
Competition entries will also be used in materials to help develop the area’s new health and social care community networks.
Dr Caroline Ruaux, CCG lead for community services, said: “The art competition is part of launching our work around developing community networks. We hope people of all ages will want to get involved with the competition and the networks.
“Port Lympne is a great place to see endangered animal conservation in action. To be in with a chance of winning tickets its important people submit their painting or drawing before the end of August.”
Competition guidelines:
- Entries should ideally be A3 in size and can be in any medium.
- Entries should be posted to: A Picture of Health Competition, NHS Ashford CCG, Inca House, Trinity Road, Ashford, Kent, TN25 4AB or emailed to: ashford.ccg@nhs.net.
- Name, contact details, town your submission represents and age category should be included alongside your entry.
