We need all types of people to provide loving and permanent homes for children in Kent County Council’s care. You do not need any specific qualifications and whether you are single or married, have children already or not, we would love to hear from you.

We are particularly looking for adopters who can provide loving homes for older children, children with additional needs and to adopt brothers and sisters so that they can stay together.

We promote equal opportunities for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, age, religious beliefs, disability or marital status.

The only restrictions are that you need to be:

  • aged 21 or over (there is no upper age limit)
  • clear of certain criminal convictions, particularly any offences involving children
  • a resident in the United Kingdom
  • healthy and well enough to be able to care for children into their adulthood and beyond. We will ask you to have a medical examination by your GP and discuss the result with our Medical Adviser and us.

Register your interest now: TEXT ADOPTION1 and your name to 88802 or call 03000 420 002

Full information about the adoption process can be found on the kentadoption.co.uk website.
