£2.37 million extension for St John’s C of E Primary

Kent County Council Leader Paul Carter was the guest of honour to open a new £2.37 million extension to St John’s C of E Primary School in Maidstone.

The new school building, in Provender Way in Weavering, was officially opened on Tuesday, June 9 and means the school can now provide education for 420 children aged 4-11 years-old.

St John’s has doubled its intake to 60 pupils each September and now boasts 14 classrooms, a hall extension, a new playground and library area.

Councillor Carter has supported the new project with £3,000 from his member grant fund.
